Africana Studies which is part of the College of Arts & Sciences at Drexel offers valuable training of special interest to those considering admission to graduate and professional schools or careers in education, journalism, law, business management, city planning, international relations, politics, psychology, publishing, and social work.

Under our program, students acquire critical, interdisciplinary research skills as well as invaluable experience working on-site in a variety of non-profit and for-profit agencies. Whether majoring in computer science, engineering or the humanities and social sciences, our courses offer a broad liberal arts perspective that complements the specialized knowledge of a traditional area studies.
