About Us
Africana Studies at Drexel University is an exciting interdisciplinary field that offers students the opportunity to explore history, culture, and politics throughout the African Diaspora. Our courses and programs investigate everything from Vodun to Hip Hop in the United States, the Caribbean, Africa, and abroad. Through our Urban Social Justice Practicum, Drexel students also have the added benefit of being able to work hands-on in local community based organizations and receive credit for it.

The Africana Studies program is an interdisciplinary program within the Center for Interdisciplinary Programs (CIP) in the College of Arts and Sciences at Drexel University.
For more information regarding this program or CIP please contact Kate Hughes at khughes@drexel.edu.
